A "Knifley Homecoming & Festival" will be held on Friday, Sept. 11 & Saturday, Sept.12, 2015.
On Friday, events include a Children’s Pageant & Gospel Singing by the group "Driven" at Olde Town Café.
On Saturday, there will be a Pancake Breakfast from 7-9am at the Knifley Fire Dept., a 5K Run/Walk at 8:00 a.m. at the Knifley Crossroads. Activities from 8am till Dusk including: Wagon Rides, Craft & Food vendors, Knifley Historical display, Gospel & Bluegrass Singing, a Classic Car & Tractor Show. FREE activities for the kids including Face Painting, Petting Zoo, Train Rides, Inflatables and more. There will be a Concert and Fireworks Display at dusk.
The Gospel Sounds will be singing at Hadley Community Church on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015 at 6:30 PM. Bro. Hadley and congregation invite everyone to attend.
DAV Service Officer Don Price will be at VFW Post 6097 at 411 Fairground St. in Columbia, Ky. on Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. This service is open to any veteran who needs assistance with a VA Claim.
No appointments are made and all are seen on a "first come-first served" basis. Please bring ALL past paperwork from the Veteran's Administration and proof of military service.
There will be a revival at Well's Chapel Baptist Church beginning Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015 at 6:30p.m. nightly. The pastor is Dennie Copas.
Adair County High School Open House will be held on Monday, August 3rd from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Students in grades 10-12 may pick up their schedules in the front lobby of Adair County High.
Freshman Orientation for 9th grade students and their parents will be held at 6:00 p.m. Ninth graders will pick up their schedules and meet their teachers. Students will also do a mock run through of their schedule.
The first day of school for Adair Co. students is Thurs., Aug. 6, 2015.
