30th Annual Lakeshore Cleanup

30th Annual Lakeshore Cleanup at Green River Lake on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016.

Registration and trash pick up at 9-12 noon EST.

Lunch and prize giveaway begins at 12:30-1 EST at the Green River Lake State Park picinic shelter located at the State Park.

To participate in the trash pickup show up at one of the following locations: Site One Boat Ramp, Smith Ridge Boat Ramp, Holmes Bend Boat Ramp, or State Park Boat Ramp

Volunteers are needed!

Gateway Park in Liberty--Casey County on Saturday, Oct. 1 (rain date will be Sat. 8)

Sign up at 9am, leave at 10am

$15 per bike, $5 for extra rider

Return to family home at 2395 Linnie Rheber Rd. in Liberty, KY 42539

50/50 draw and food after the ride

There will be an auction to follow. 

All proceeds will go to the family with medical expenses for Kamalani.

Melson Ridge United Baptist Church Homecoming

Homecoming Sunday will be on Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. at Melson Ridge United Baptist Church at 382 Melson Ridge Road in Columbia. Singing will be by the Spirituals and Brother Jim Molden will be the speaker. There will be a pot luck meal at noon and everyone is invited. 

2016 Downtown Days Festival

Columbia's annual Downtown Days Festival is Oct. 7th and 8th, and Renaissance Columbia has announced that country music artist Doug Stone will be this years featured entertainer. The concert date is Saturday, Oct. 8 at 7p.m. on the Public Square. The concert is free, just bring your lawn chair.

The festival features arts and crafts vendors, a food court, 5K, kids fun run, live entertainment all day, kids games and train rides, beauty pageants (to be held on Saturday, Oct. 1), a big wheel race and much more all culminating with the FREE Doug Stone country music concert on Oct. 8.
