The regular monthly meetings of VFW Columbia Post 6097 and the Ladies Auxiliary are on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. All members are urged to attend.

Anyone wishing to join needs to bring a copy of your DD-214 to prove eligibility.

The Adair County Food Pantry, 203 South Monroe Street, Columbia, is open 9am-12pm, each Tuesday, serving families of Adair County who meet certain income criteria. Anyone who wishes to donate to donate canned items or make a monetary donation may call Food Pantry Director Stephanie Long at 270-250-2730.

The food pantry at Praise Assembly of God, 310 Jamestown Street, Columbia, is open Mondays from 10am until 1pm or until the food runs out.

The Adair County Fiscal Court holds its regular monthly meeting every second Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm in the basement of the Adair Co. Annex Building.

The Columbia Rotary Club meets every second and fourth Monday night at 5:30pm, at the Lindsey Wilson College Cranmer Dinning Center. Visitors always welcome.

The Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors regularly meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:30am at the Chamber office, 201 Burkesville Street, Columbia.

The Adair County Knife Club hosts a Knife Swap and Auction, the 1st and 3rd Tuesday nights of every month in the basement of the Columbia Masonic Lodge, located at the corner of Burkesville and Frazier Streets. Doors open at 3:00pm. The auction begins at 5:00pm.  Admission is $2.00 and concessions are available. New members are welcome! We encourage all members to attend as regularly as possible. Any veteran who thinks he or she may qualify for membership is also invited to join us for verification.  Any prospective new member must bring a copy of your DD-214 to verify eligibility.  Veterans, please help by supporting us locally as the VFW supports us with the government.

The Social Seniors Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 11am in the basement of the Adair County Public Library. The Social Seniors Club is open to all Senior Citizens of Adair County. Contact the Library at 384-2472.
