The Columbia Rotary Auction will hold its annual Radio Auction on May 4th and 5th from
6:00 to 9:00 p.m.on WAIN 93.5 FM Hot Country.  Items to be auctioned are listed on the

Computer Class

The class will cover computer basics such as the difference  between Ram memory and Cache memory. Some introduction into Web-site building. We may also discuss binary and octal numbering systems. Questions are encouraged!

Photography Class
This 3 week session with cover ISO, Aperture, Speed - how do they affect photo? We will then do a photo shoot and learn basic editing and composition.
Dates: Mondays May 4th, 11th and 18th.

Bridge for Beginners or Refresh your game
We will offer simplified lessons to learn the basic terms and strategy for playing bridge  learn how to bid, understanding partnership, and how to score.
Dates: Wednesdays beginning May 20th - July 29th
Time 11-3pm

Lifeguard Certification Class - Blended Learning.
All Lectures will be online. This will be approx. 8 hours of online work before we meet to learn the skills.
Once the online portion is complete the following times are mandatory -
Dates: Monday May18th, Tuesday May 19th, and Thursday May 21st.
Times:  Mon. 4 - 9 pm, Tues. 4:00 pm – 9 pm, Thurs 5 - 8 pm.

Adair Co. Blood Drive May 5

Area residents are invited to be life-savers at the upcoming Kentucky Blood Center blood drive.

There will be an Adair County Community Blood Drive on Tues., May 5 from Noon ~ 5 pm at the
Columbia Church of Christ in the Fellowship Hall at 501 Jamestown St. in Columbia.

Bank of Col. Relay for Life Derby Pie Sale

The Bank of Columbia Relay For Life team is taking orders for homemade Derby Pies!

The cost is $14 each and orders must be received by Wednesday, April 29. The pies may be picked up at the Bank of Columbia on the Public Square on Friday, May 1st during the Bank’s "Relay For Life Bake Sale."

Republican Gubernatorial Forum


The Adair County Republican Party is hosting a gubernatorial forum.

Matt Bevin, James Comer, Hal Heiner and Will T. Scott will participate in a question and answer session on Thursday, April 30 at the Cranmer Dining Center on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College.

In addition to the gubernatorial candidates, all Republican candidates in the May primary have been invited to attend the event. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and a “meet and greet” with all candidates begins at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children at the door. Children under 5 get in free.  Refreshments will be served.

Shannon Rowe, chairman of the Adair County Republican Party, said the gubernatorial candidates would be asked a series of questions about topics of interest on a state and local level.
