The Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce, Christmas in Columbia is honored to have our Adair County Korean and Vietnam War Veterans as the parade Grand Marshals this year.
The Grand Marshals will meet at the Columbia Church of the Nazarene on Hwy 55 South at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 5 and will all ride in a bus together, lead the parade, be welcomed to the town square by a military salute by members of the Columbia VFW Post, and will then perform the lighting of the Christmas tree.

The Crossroads Quartet will be singing on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Melson Ridge United Baptist Church. The pastor is Bro. Daniel Garrett.
Heaven Bound will be in concert at Hadley Community Church on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 6:30 p.m.
Local Electrical Inspector Chris Bennett will be hosting a 10 week exam prep class to Electricians that are interested in taking their master or journeyman electricians test. This class is for people who have been employed in the electrical trade or have completed a 2 year degree program from KCTCS in an electrical field and want to become a licensed electrician. This is a FREE class. It willl be held at Adair County High School's Vocational Agricultural building. Classes begin January 5th at 5:00 PM. The Adair County Elementary School's Better Together Tribe Parent Group will be meeting on Monday, December 7th at 5 o'clock in the ACES cafeteria.
