The "Christmas in Columbia" arts and crafts show will be Sat, Dec. 6th, 2014 from 9:00am until 3:00pm in the Historic Adair County Courthouse located on the Public Square.
To reserve your spot, please call the Adair County Public Library at 270-384-2472 and ask for Lee Ann. First floor spaces will be $15 and second floor spaces will be $10. Vendors may set up Friday, December 5th, 2014 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm or the morning of the event between 7:00am and 8:00am.
The parade theme this year is "Christmas Memories." To register a float call the Chamber of Commerce at 270-384-6020.
Victory Community Church is now located at 1165 Russell Road in Columbia with a special speaker each Fri. for the Alcohol/Drug Outreach Program. Everyone is welcome to attend. The speaker on Friday, Nov. 28, will be Greg Burton.
The Adair County Knife Club has a Knife Swap & Auction at the Columbia Masonic basement on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday nights of each month. Doors open at the 3:00 p.m. and the auction begins at 5:00 p.m. There is a $2:00 admission fee and there are tables where you can set up with your knives. The Columbia Church of Christ Food Pantry will be open every 3rd Thursday of the month from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 noon. The church is located on Jamestown St. in Columbia.
The Adair County Food Pantry at 203 South Monroe Street in Columbia is open from 9am-12pm each Tuesday serving Adair Co. families who meet certain income criteria. Anyone who wishes to donate to donate canned items or make a monetary donation may call Food Pantry Director Stephanie Long at 270-250-2847.
The food pantry at Praise Assembly of God, 310 Jamestown Street, Columbia, is open Tuesdays from 8:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. or until the food runs out.
