Three persons were injured in a two-vehicle, head-on collision late Thursday afternoon in Russell County.
According to the Russell Co. Sheriff's Dept., the accident occurred on Hwy 80, east of Russell Springs, when a 2012 Toyota Camry driven by 50 year old Troy Stephens crossed into the westbound lane and struck a 1997 Chevy Geo Metro being driven by 16 year old Kobe George.
Kobe & a passenger, his mom Melissa George were airlifted from the scene while another passenger, his dad Troy Stephens was flown from the Russell County Hospital to the U.K. Medical Center for treatment.
Randy George was treated at the scene.
The collision occurred just after 5:00 p.m. and remains under investigation.
