On Tuesday, July 10th, 2018 Columbia Police responded to a residence on Keen Drive in the Green Hills Subdivision to a reported burglary.
Upon arrival it was found that the back door of the home had been kicked in and items, including jewelry and a handgun, had been stolen.
Officers were able to determine the incident happened between 2:30pm and 2:45pm and they were also able to get a description of the suspect’s clothing and facial descriptions, as he was seen running from the residence through back yards of the subdivision.
Officers later obtained a picture of the suspect from video surveillance and around 11:15pm that vehicle was located parked at Elizabeth Drive.
A search of the residence was conducted resulting in all the stolen items, including the handgun, were located.
Jordan Perkins was taken into custody by Ofc. Charles Greer and Ofc. Josh Brockman at 11:46pm.
He was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of Burglary 1st Degree Theft by Unlawful Taking over $500.00 and Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree.
Ofc. Charles Greer was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ofc. Josh Brockman in the investigation.
