Confidence continues to grow for a potentially significant severe weather episode across the region later Friday
afternoon into Friday evening. A strong storm system coupled with strong instability will likely provide the ingredients
necessary for severe weather. The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded a large portion of our area to an “Enhanced” risk
(level 3 out of 5 severe risk). All severe weather hazards still appear possible including damaging winds, large hail, isolated
tornadoes, and flooding. Stay up to date of the latest forecasts. Today is an excellent time to review your severe weather
safety plan. Make sure you have multiple ways to receive severe weather warnings.
