On Sunday, August 26th, 2018 while on patrol, K-9 Officer Johnny Dial located a white male sitting inside a truck in the area of Dohoney Trace.
The occupant appeared to be asleep or passed out.
Officer Dial initiated contact with the occupant to check on him and it was determined that he was under the influence of an intoxicating substance.
K-9 Gunner was deployed after his investigation to reveal their may be a controlled substance in the vehicle.
Gunner gave a positive indicator and drugs and marijuana were recovered from the vehicle.
The occupant was also found to be in possession of another individual’s identification cards and financial information.
Corey Polk, 28, was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of Public Intoxication (Excludes Alcohol), Theft of Identity, Possession of Open an Alcoholic Beverage in Public (Prohibited), and Possession of Marijuana.
Officer Dial and K-9 Gunner are investigating.
