OWENSBORO, Ky. — Fourth-ranked Lindsey Wilson volleyball won its second road match in as many nights tonight, beating host Brescia 3-1 at the Campus Center.
The Blue Raiders (10-2) — who won at Indiana Southeast last night — beat the Bearcats tonight 25-15, 22-25, 25-11, 25-16.
Sarah Cruz led the Blue Raider hitting attack, matching a season-high with 18 kills. She also was efficient, producing a .394 attacking percentage in the win. Elly Burke just missed her third-straight double-double, ending with nine kills and 18 digs.
Autumn Proctor posted 36 assists while Lilo Larzelere finished with a team-high 19 digs in the win.
Grace Blomstedt led the Blue Raider block — which produced 10 solo blocks and four assisted blocks — with three solos and one block assist. Burke and Klara Mikelova each ended with two solo and one assisted block for the match. The 12 team blocks match a season high.
The Blue Raider block limited the Bearcats (8-7) to a .053 team hitting percentage for the match. It marks the ninth time in 12 matches this season the opposition has hit below .200 in the match.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 6 p.m. CT on Monday, Sept. 10, as the Blue Raiders open up Mid-South Conference play at Pikeville (Ky.).
