On Thursday, January 10th, 2019 at 1:25 pm, Chief Deputy Justin Cross was dispatched by Adair County 911 to KY 80 East near the Russell, Adair County line for a reported auto collision with injuries.
Preliminary investigation shows that Sierra Miller was operating a 2008 Chevrolet East bound on KY 80, when she crossed the center line striking a 2012 Lincoln head on operated by Mary Kearney of Russell Springs, who was traveling west.
Miller’s vehicle then traveled down an embankment, overturned, striking a building before coming to rest.
Miller, who was unrestrained, was ejected from her vehicle and had to be airlifted to the University of Kentucky.
Her female infant passenger, who was restrained, was transported to Russell County Hospital and is in stable condition.
Kearney, who was restrained, was taken by private vehicle to Russell County Hospital.
The collision was investigated by Chief Deputy Justin Cross.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Adair County EMS, Russell County EMS, and members of the Columbia Adair County Fire Department.
