YOUth Make a Difference – latest in news from Adair Youth
On Friday November 9th, the first YOUth Make a Difference Conference was held at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Office. Youth from Adair County High School, Casey County High School, and Casey County Middle School attended the meeting. Topics focused on Advocacy 101, Say Yes to Tobacco Policy, Juul in Your School and Messaging Matters. Presenters were University of KY Tobacco-Free Ambassadors, Kentucky Tobacco Prevention Program, and Kentucky Center for Smoke Free Policy and Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids.
The conference was made possible by grants received from Kentucky Tobacco Prevention Program, Adair and Casey County Agency for Substance Abuse Policy, Adanta Regional Prevention Center, Lake Cumberland District Health Department, and Adair Cooperative Extension Services.
